Location: Zuid (South) is a huge district which includes everything from the Vondelpark, the Museum Quarter the up-market boutiques of Oud Zuid, De Pijp, and the university and business area of Zuidas. There is an air of luxury here, thanks to the historic museums or boutique scene. It borders Amstelveen to the south, which while officially being another municipality, is so well connected by public transport that it still feels like Amsterdam. Zuidas is the city’s financial district and is home to the Vrije University of Amsterdam. The area is booming with restaurants and upscale cocktail bars and is very popular among students and expats alike. For the joggers and swimmers the Rembrandt park is a 10 min walk away. Its a huge park where lots of activities take place in the summer.
